Dear Parents:
We have planned a special treat for our first graders!
Author Karen Beil is coming to Heatly on Wednesday, May 23rd to read
and sign her book, Mooove Over! A Book about Counting by Two’s, and talk with our first grade class. This event is designed to launch your first-grader into a summertime of fun which will enhance reading, writing, and math skills and make for an easy transition into second grade. Karen Beil’s book makes math fun with a hilarious story that children will want to read over and over, each time deepening their understanding of the concept of counting by two’s. Games and activities at the back of the book can extend the learning all summer long. What’s the story? The Countingtown Trolley is ready to roll. Animals climb on while the driver counts his passengers. But wait a minute! How can the driver keep his count straight if that crazy cow cuts in line?
The Little Bookhouse of Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany is generously offering a 20% discount off the retail price of $16.95, and the final cost will only be $13.56! Once the forms are returned, Mrs. Goss will order the books so they are here and waiting on the day of the visit!
To make sure your child gets an autographed book on the day of the visit, please complete and send this form with payment to Mrs. Butler or Mrs. Goss by   May 10th.

Checks should be made payable to Little Bookhouse.

We are all excited and looking forward to this fun event!
If you have any questions please let me know!
